KABUL: U.S. media reports that millions of citizens have protested against Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and his policies under the slogan “No to the King.”
CNN reported on today that the demonstrators are reacting to various policies of Donald Trump, including “potential threats to democracy, raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the deployment of military forces in several U.S. cities, and budget cuts to federal programs, particularly in healthcare.”
The media indicates that the number of protesters is estimated at 7 million, who have organized demonstrations in 2,700 locations across all 50 states.
The protests have been organized in both small and large gatherings.
U.S. police officials have stated that the protests have been largely peaceful in many parts of the country.
These widespread protests have emerged amid a federal government stalemate due to the failure to pass a budget, and ongoing recesses.
Republican and Democratic lawmakers in the U.S. are at odds over the passage of the government budget bill.
