Agreement signed between OIC and Islamic Solidarity Fund to assist Afghan earthquake victims

KABUL: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has announced the signing of a grant agreement with the “Islamic Solidarity Fund” to assist earthquake victims in eastern Afghanistan.
According to a statement from the organization on Tuesday, based on the agreement, the Islamic Solidarity Fund will collaborate with the Afghan Red Crescent Society to deliver aid to earthquake victims in the eastern provinces of the country.
The OIC stated that the agreement was signed by Mohammed bin Suleiman Abaalkhail, Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, and Dr. Mohammad Saeed Al-Ayash, Head of the OIC Office in Afghanistan.
The statement did not specify the amount or details of the aid and collaboration involved.
The OIC mentioned that this grant is part of the Islamic Solidarity Fund’s ongoing humanitarian efforts and responsibilities in supporting Muslim nations worldwide, particularly during times of ongoing humanitarian crises that necessitate solidarity and effective cooperation.
Previously, various national and international countries and organizations have provided humanitarian assistance to earthquake victims in eastern Afghanistan.
