KABUL: The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its support for the ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Egyptian media outlet Al-Ahram reported on Monday night.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Cairo hopes that this agreement will contribute to ending tensions, preventing further bloodshed, and establishing lasting stability in the region.
The statement emphasized the importance of relying on diplomatic solutions and constructive dialogue to resolve disputes.
Egypt reaffirmed its support for initiatives and efforts aimed at resolving regional conflicts through peaceful approaches.
This comes as several countries in the region and the Middle East have previously reacted positively to the ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The agreement is set to be pursued by delegations from Afghanistan and Pakistan in Turkey in four days (October 25).
