KABUL: The Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas has recently called on the international community and global actors regarding Gaza to compel the Israeli occupying regime to adhere to the ceasefire in the territory.
Turkish state media TRT reported on Monday night, that Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, stated in a message on Telegram that the movement is committed to its obligations under the ceasefire; however, the delivery of the remaining bodies of prisoners requires additional equipment and resources for debris removal due to the extensive destruction in Gaza.
He noted: “We are working daily to complete the process of delivering all remains of Israeli prisoners, but this process faces significant challenges due to the widespread devastation in Gaza.”
The spokesperson emphasized that during the conflict, the Zionist regime deliberately bombed areas where its prisoners were held.
He mentioned the lack of machinery for debris removal as one of the major issues raised by Hamas with intermediary countries.
Meanwhile, the media office in Gaza has accused the Israeli occupying regime of 47 violations of the ceasefire in the territory.
