KABUL: The construction of 77 development projects, costing 155 million Afghanis, has been completed and inaugurated in Khost province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, said in a statement to Radio Omid today.
The statement noted that the projects include the construction of rural roads, retaining walls, irrigation canals, water supply networks, and bridges, and have been completed in the Nader Shah Kot district of Khost province.
With the completion of these projects, several environmental issues faced by residents of Nader Shah Kot district have been addressed, said the statement, adding that job opportunities have also been created for dozens of local residents.
Similar developmental projects are underway in other parts of the country aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.
