Islamic Emirate: Istanbul talks ended due to irresponsible behavior and lack of cooperation from Pakistani delegation

KABUL: Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Zabihullah, in a statement today said that the talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan ended without results due to irresponsible behavior and a lack of cooperation from the Islamabad delegation.

According to the statement, the Afghan delegation participated in the two-day Istanbul negotiations with good intentions and full authority, based on special directives from the IEA leadership.

He expressed regret that the Pakistani delegation shifted all security responsibilities onto the Afghan government, showing no willingness to accept accountability for either Afghanistan or their own country.

The statement reiterated that the IEA will not allow anyone to use Afghan soil against any other country.

Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid also emphasized that no other country will be permitted to use its territory against Afghanistan’s national sovereignty, freedom, and security.

Additionally, the statement highlighted that defending the land and people of Afghanistan is a religious and national duty for the IEA, and any aggression will be met with decisive response, backed by divine support and the people’s solidarity.

The IEA expressed gratitude to Turkey and Qatar for mediating and hosting this round of talks between the Afghan and Pakistani delegations.

This comes after Pakistan reportedly violated a ceasefire by launching an attack on Afghan soil in Spin Boldak, Kandahar province, killing four Afghan citizens during the discussions.
