Prime Minister: A transparent and trustworthy environment established for attracting investment in Afghanistan

KABUL: Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, stated that a transparent and trustworthy environment for attracting domestic and foreign investment has now been created in Afghanistan.

He made the remarks in a message during a one-day seminar on the investment attraction policy organized by the Academy of Sciences today.

The Prime Minister added that Afghanistan currently requires foreign direct investment for economic growth, and the Islamic Emirate has provided the necessary and extensive facilities for such investments.

According to the message, security has been established throughout Afghanistan, issues related to visas, financial transfers, and administrative matters have largely been resolved, and transparency in the issuance of licenses has improved.

Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, stated during the event that the Islamic Emirate offers comprehensive support to both domestic and foreign investors.

He noted that Afghanistan has reached a state of peace after 40 years of conflict, with nationwide security ensured, efforts made to combat drug cultivation and trafficking, and corruption addressed.

The seminar aims to review various aspects of the Islamic Emirate’s policy on attracting investment through the lens of economic scholars.
