KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially and strongly condemned the recognition of the ‘Somaliland’ region of the Federal Republic of Somalia as an independent government by the occupying regime of Israel.
According to a statement from the ministry on Sunday, this action by the occupying Israeli regime is an attempt to divide an Islamic country and a clear violation of Somalia’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, contrary to international laws.
“The Islamic Emirate views such actions as a threat to regional stability, said the statement adding that such actions have no legitimacy or legal standing.”
Recently, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, in an official map/report, depicted the ‘Somaliland’ region, an autonomous area in northern Somalia, as separate from the country and recognized it as an independent area.
