Over 3,000 Afghan migrants return home in one day

KABUL: The High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues, said in a statement today that 3,210 Afghan migrants returned from Pakistan in a single day.

According the o the statement, these Afghans returned yesterday (Tuesday) through the “Torkham” crossing in Nangarhar province and the “Spin Boldak” crossing in Kandahar province.

2,934 migrants entered the country through the Torkham crossing, while 276 others returned via the Spin Boldak crossing, said the statement, adding that they have been registered and recorded.

This comes as the distribution of assistance to returning Afghan migrant families continues daily across various provinces.
