KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, met with Alexander Matthew, the Head of Asia and Pacific Regions at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement on its X account that the two sides discussed urgent assistance for returning migrants to Afghanistan, fulfilling basic needs for victims of natural disasters, and collaboration in the health sector.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed gratitude for the support provided by this international organization in Afghanistan and noted that the Islamic Emirate is particularly focused on migrants, utilizing all its resources to manage the return process.
On the other hand, Alexander Matthew stated that during his visit to Afghanistan, he aims to gather necessary information regarding humanitarian aid and continue cooperation and efforts with relevant parties to close the existing gaps in assistance.
