KABUL: Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, accompanied by Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock and head of the Council of Scholars, visited Balkh province.
Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, the Deputy Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said in a statement today that the Deputy Prime Minister and head of the High Commission for Addressing the Refugees Issues inaugurated the distribution of food and cash assistance for returning Afghan migrants in Balkh province.
The aid packages have been distributed based on the directive of the leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to support deserving returnees through the High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues.
During the launch of the distribution process, Mawlavi Hanafi urged all compatriots to assist and cooperate with returnees and other needy citizens during the cold winter, to alleviate their hardships as much as possible.
It is noteworthy that each eligible returning family will receive 5 bags of 50-kilogram wheat and 5,000 AFN in cash.
