Putin to Araqchi: We will strive to assist the People of Iran

KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a meeting with Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that Moscow is working to provide assistance to the people of Iran.
According to Reuters, Putin described the U.S. attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities as an “entirely unjustified aggression against Iran” that lacks any basis or justification.
During the televised meeting, Putin expressed his pleasure at Araghchi’s presence in Moscow, stating that it allows for discussions on important issues and joint considerations on how to navigate the current situation.
Araghchi acknowledged Russia’s stance on the right side of history and international law, thanking the Kremlin for its position regarding the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iran.
He emphasized that Tehran is engaged in legitimate self-defense.
Previously, Reuters reported that Araghchi had delivered a letter from Iran’s leader to the Kremlin’s leader.
