Iran’s missile attack on Al Udeid base in Qatar sparked reactions
KABUL: The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Iran’s missile attack on the Al Udeid base, where U.S. military personnel are stationed in Qatar, Saudi state television reported the statement on Monday night.
Additionally, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued a statement condemning the missile attack, with reports indicating that Turkey and Oman have also denounced the strike.
The GCC is a political, economic, and security alliance comprising six Arab countries.
On the other hand, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed that Iran targeted the Al Udeid base using short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles.
However, some media outlets reported statements from the Iranian Supreme National Security Council suggesting that the number of missiles fired was equivalent to the bombs that the U.S. has used on Iranian soil.
Meanwhile, the Qatari government also condemned the missile attack, labeling it a violation of its territorial integrity.
