KABUL: Iran’s judicial authorities have executed three individuals for allegedly spying for Israel.
According to the state news agency ISNA on Wednesday, the individuals were accused of smuggling assassination equipment for Iranian officials disguised as alcohol shipments into the country.
ISNA stated the executions took place in the Urmia prison in Iran.
Over the past week, Iranian judicial bodies have executed nearly ten individuals on similar espionage charges linked to Israel.
This comes as Tehran has intensified efforts to apprehend Israeli spy networks within the country following the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Iran.
