KABUL: Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with Bayramov Annamamedov, the Vice President of Turkmenistan for Energy, Industry, Electricity, and Construction, on the sidelines of the 30th International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference in Turkmenistan.

According to a statement from the ministry today, the meeting took place in a mutually supportive atmosphere, where the issues faced by Afghan traders—specifically, their inability to receive requested goods despite payment—were discussed.

The two sides also regarded the commencement of the second phase of the “TAPI” (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) project, initiated by Turkmenistan’s national leader, as a significant and impactful step toward industrial development, economic cooperation, and increasing regional trade volume.

The statement noted that the Minister of Industry and Commerce expressed the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s leadership support for enhancing bilateral cooperation and emphasized the need to remove existing barriers and create necessary facilities for the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.

It is worth mentioning that Nooruddin Azizi is leading a delegation to the 30th International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
