Safe drinking water to be provided for 56,000 families in Paktika

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has announced that safe drinking water will be provided for 56,000 families in Paktika province at a cost of 201 million Afghanis.

Mullah Noorullhadi Adil, spokesperson for the ministry, said in a statement today that safe drinking water will be supplied to these families through the construction of 42 water supply networks in the districts of “Jani Khel, Gomel, Wazikhwa, Dila, Khushamand, Charbaran, and Sher Ken,” benefiting the designated households.

The projects have officially commenced in the presence of Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhund, the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.

The press release did not specify the source of funding for these networks.

It is also expected that job opportunities will be created for the residents of these districts during the construction of the mentioned networks.

Additionally, work on a safe water supply network worth 5.7 million Afghanis has also started today in Herat province.
