Larijani: Iran ready to offer a blank check to Pakistan for peace with Afghanistan and India

KABUL: Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that Tehran is prepared to provide a “blank check” to Islamabad for establishing peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as between India and Pakistan.

He made the remarks on Wednesday night, in response to a Pakistani journalist’s question about what Iran could do to advance peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan and India, Larijani emphasized that Islamabad can use this blank check whenever it wishes.

No further details were provided regarding the specifics of this blank check.

Two days prior, Ali Larijani led a delegation to Islamabad and had discussions with Pakistani officials on various matters.

This comes amid currently tense relations between Islamabad, Kabul, and New Delhi.
