KABUL: The High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues, said in a statement today that 3,078 Afghan migrants were forcibly expelled from Pakistan in a single day and returned home.
The Afghan migrants were expelled yesterday (Wednesday) and entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar province, the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar, and the Bahramcha crossing in Helmand.
According to the statement, 2,806 migrants returned via the Torkham crossing, 138 via Bahramcha, and 134 through the Spin Boldak crossing.
The process of forcibly expelling Afghan migrants from Pakistan continues daily and without interruption.
Local credible sources from Paktia province told Radio Omid that the “Kharlachi” crossing is set to be opened soon to facilitate the return of expelled Afghan migrants from Pakistan.
