KABUL: The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment says 20 commercial agreements worth $400 million have been signed between Afghan and Uzbek traders during a business delegation visit to Fergana, Uzbekistan.
According to a statement released Tuesday, the agreements cover sectors including textiles, raw materials, pharmaceuticals, and other economic fields.
The Afghan delegation led by Zulgai Azimi also participated in a joint Afghanistan–Uzbekistan private sector business forum held in Fergana.
During the visit, delegation members toured major industrial plants and manufacturing factories in the city.
Around 40 Afghan traders have been in Uzbekistan for the past three days as part of efforts to expand bilateral trade and investment ties.
