KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that security forces have seized 159 kilograms of opium in Zabul province.
According to the ministry, the Zabul Police Command’s Highway Protection Battalion discovered and confiscated the drugs during a search operation at a security checkpoint and detained three people in connection with the case.
The suspects will be handed over to judicial and legal organs for further investigation of their cases, said the statement.
