KABUL: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Embassy in Pakistan says it has raised the issue of the auction of property belonging to a number of Afghan migrants in Chakwal, Punjab, with relevant Pakistani authorities.
The embassy said on Friday, September 4, that a delegation had traveled to Chakwal to assess the situation of Afghan migrants’ property firsthand.
According to the embassy, the delegation also met with local officials to explore legal and appropriate solutions to the issue and ensure that the rights and property of Afghan shopkeepers are protected.
Local authorities in Chakwal assured the delegation of their cooperation in addressing the issue.
The Afghan Embassy in Pakistan said it will continue following up on the auction of Afghan migrants’ property until an appropriate solution is reached.
