KABUL: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it fired several ballistic missiles at a U.S. aircraft carrier and a destroyer.
The IRGC said the two warships were targeted for what it described as “harassing Iranian vessels and participating in a naval blockade,” and that the vessels were damaged and subsequently left the area.
The IRGC warned that Iran’s armed forces would deliver a “significant response” if the United States continues what it called hostile actions.
