More than 265 tons of expired food collected in Kabul

KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said that Kabul Municipality collected more than 265 metric tons of expired food products and substandard detergents from various parts of Kabul during the 1447 Lunar year.

Radio Omid reported that Mujahid made the remarks during the “Government in the Mirror of the Media” program.

According to Mujahid, more than 185 metric tons of expired food products were destroyed, while the health and environmental conditions of more than 29,000 businesses across Kabul’s 22 districts were inspected.

He added that more than 97,000 shop and business workers received health and environmental training.

A total of 5,562 businesses were also closed for failing to comply with environmental standards.
