KABUL: Hosein Mohebi, spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has warned that Iran would use new and strategic weapons if the United States launches another attack.
Mohebi said Iran has prepared some weapons that have not yet been used in the ongoing conflict and would deploy them if necessary. He also warned that a new U.S. attack could expand the geographic scope of the conflict, with additional areas potentially coming under attack.
The IRGC spokesman said Iranian forces are also prepared for a prolonged war.
The remarks came after Iran’s Central Headquarters Khatam al-Anbiya, the country’s top wartime military command, claimed that the United States, with the support of some regional countries, was preparing to resume military action against Iran.
The command also claimed that it had obtained information about a meeting involving the United States, Israel and several regional countries in a European country.
