National Climate Change Conference begins in Kabul

KABUL: The country’s National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) says that the ‘National Climate Change Conference’ has been launched in Kabul today [Monday, April 22, 2024] at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).

According to the Agency, the three-day ‘National Climate Change Conference’ has been organized in collaboration with the Norway Committee for Afghanistan.

It is expected that the impacts of climate change in Afghanistan will be discussed at the conference.

The conference was participated by representatives from ministries, embassies, university professors and domestic and international institutions.

The holding of this conference coincides with World Earth Day in the country.

The three-day conference is being held at a time when Afghanistan is considered one of the countries vulnerable to climate change.
