KABUL: Ukrainian officials say restrictions imposed by SpaceX on its Starlink satellite internet services have disrupted the operations of the country’s attack and air-defense drones.
According to Ukrainian officials, the restrictions were introduced as tensions with Washington have increased and concerns have grown over the continued U.S. support for Ukraine on the battlefield.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the restrictions on Starlink’s military services as a “major mistake,” warning that the decision could have serious consequences on the battlefield and potentially lead to further loss of life.
