KABUL: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Tehran for the first time since the outbreak of the war in the Middle East.
Russian media reported that Lavrov arrived in Tehran after visiting Bahrain and is scheduled to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi.
The visit comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin told his Iranian counterpart earlier this month that Moscow was ready to participate in efforts to mediate in the region.
