KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement on Saturday that construction work on five water supply networks, worth 10 million Afghanis (some 13,800 US Dollars) has been started in Ghor.
According to the statement, the water supply networks with the financial support of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) will be built in Firoz Koh city, the capital of Ghor, as well as Teywara, Dolina and Chahar Sada districts of the province.
Upon the completion of these projects, around 2,000 families will have access to clean and safe drinking water, said the statement adding that job opportunities will be provided for dozens of individuals.
