KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, during a ceremony commemorating World Red Crescent Day stated that the humanitarian activities of this organization have saved the lives of millions of Afghans in the country, Arg said in a statement.
In a ceremony held by the Afghan Red Crescent Society to commorate the World Red Crescent Day was attended by a number high-ranking government official, members of the cabinet, and some others in Kabul.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that the Red Crescent and Red Cross organizations in difficult and challenging circumstances have provided significant rescue efforts for Afghans.
Expressing pleasure over the humanitarian activities of the Red Crescent Society, he called for the providing humanitarian assistance to remote areas of the country.
He also expressed hope that the international community would increase its efforts and attention in this regard.
