IEA officials not rulers but servants of people, Mullah Baradar

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, during his trip to Baghlan, on Monday, met with the scholars, elders and officials of the province and said: “We have not come to offer condolences to the flood victims, but rather to provide assistance and support to the people of the province,” his office said in a statement.

“Our arrival was not only for offering condolences, but it is our responsibility to help and support our people during these difficult days,” said Mullah Baradar adding that the authorities of the Islamic Emirate are not rulers of Afghanistan, but they are servants of the people.

Meanwhile, the members of the Ulama Council of Baghlan thanked the IEA leadership for their sympathy and timely assistance and said that the people of the province support the Islamic Emirate and stand by it.
