KABUL: The Afghan Red Crescent Society on Saturday signed an agreement with the Qatar Red Crescent Society for the treatment of 169 Afghan Children suffering from congenital heart defects.
The agreement was signed between Dr. Mohammad Saleh Ibrahim, Director of the Relief and International Development Division at Qatar Red Crescent Society, and Mawlavi Mati-ul-Haq Khalis, the acting director of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
During the signing ceremony, Mawlavi Khalis expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by the Qatar Red Crescent Society to Afghanistan.
Based on the agreement, 169 Afghan children suffering from heart defects will be treated.
It is worth noting that the Afghan Red Crescent Society has facilitated the treatment of 3,094 children suffering from this disease over the past nearly three years.
