School building inaugurated in Kunduz, ministry

KABUL: A school building worth 25 million Afghani (some 355,661 U.S. dollars) has been constructed and inaugurated in Kunduz province, the Ministry of Education said in a statement on Wednesday.
The school with 8 classrooms, two administrative rooms and necessary equipment has been funded by a partner organization and constructed in the Aqtash district of the province, the statement said.
The local residents welcomed the ministry’s move and asked the Islamic Emirate to build further school buildings and launch development projects in their district.
According to the statement, necessary efforts have been underway to provide people with a safe and suitable education environment nationwide.
