TIKA provided assistance to 100 children in Baghlan orphanage

KABUL: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said in a statement on Saturday, that assistance has been distributed to 100 orphaned children in the orphanage of Baghlan province.

According to the statement, the assistance was provided by the TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) company based in Mazar-e-Sharif.

The aid included blankets, carpets, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, water coolers, ceiling fans, bathroom supplies, and summer and winter clothing said the statement adding that part of the aid includes educational materials such as books, notebooks, pens, and school supplies.

Since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, efforts to assist orphaned children in the country have increased.

Meanwhile, earlier today, the foundation stone for an orphanage worth $800,000 was laid in Maidan Wardak province.
