KABUL: The officials of the Directorate of Emirati Companies have said that six inactive Emirati companies have resumed operations in the past year.
The officials of the state-owned enterprises during a press conference held today at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), sharing the directorate’s one-year achievements said that the reactivated companies include Baghlan Sugar Factory, Afghan Tayour, textile companies of Kandahar, Pul-e Khumri, and Balkh, as well as the Bust Emirati company in Helmand.
The production of cerement has also increased in the Baghlan and Parwan factories said the officials adding that 199,671 tons of cement were produced in the cement factories of Jabal al-Saraj in Parwan province and Ghor in Baghlan province over the past year.
They emphasized that previous administrations had not paid significant attention to Emirati companies.
