Iran’s interior minister: Tehran no longer able to accommodate refugees

KABUL: The Minister of Interior of Iran, Iskander Momani, has asked for the expansion of the expelling of Afghan refugees from the border areas of this country.

“Tehran is no longer able to accommodate foreign citizens,” he said.

In a meeting held in Mazandaran province, he said that he would continue to close the wall and borders and that preventing foreign nationals is a priority.

Iran and Pakistan are the two countries where millions of Afghans live, but both countries have recently used excessive force with Afghan refugees.
