KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Works of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, in a meeting with Zhao Xing, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kabul, said that Wakhan Corridor’s survey completed and it’s design is underway.
According to a statement from the ministry on Saturday, the two sides emphasized the continuation of cooperation and discussions regarding the Wakhan Corridor.
Mulla Mohammad Isa Sani also mentioned that discussions regarding the Trans-Afghan railway project are ongoing with the involved countries at the leadership level.
He added that preparations for the practical implementation of this project have been finalized in Afghanistan.
The Afghan Trans project aims to connect Central Asian countries through Afghanistan with South Asian countries.
