Construction projects on schools worth over 43 million Afghanis implemented by UNICEF in Maidan Wardak

KABUL: Construction projects on schools worth over 43.3 million Afghanis have been implemented by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Maidan Wardak province during the outgoing solar year, the provincial Education Department said.

The projects were carried out in seven schools across seven districts in the province to create a comfortable and suitable environment for students, said the statement.

According to the statement, the construction work included surrounding walls, solar power systems, clean water wells, modern restroom facilities, septic tanks, and supportive walls.

With the implantation of the projects, existing challenges faced by students will be addressed.
