KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, leading a high-ranking delegation, left for Uzbekistan, his office said in a statement today.
The delegation includes the acting ministers of Mines and Petroleum, Transport and Aviation, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the Governor of the Central Bank, the Deputy Customs Minister of the Ministry of Finance, and representatives from various sectoral departments.
The aim of this high-level Emirati delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan is to strengthen and expand political, economic, trade, and transit relations between Kabul and Tashkent.
Also, the Emirati delegation, during their visit, will engage with Uzbek officials and traders to attract Uzbek investors.
Over the past three years, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, as neighboring countries, have witnessed unprecedented growth in their political, economic, trade, and transit relations, and senior officials from both countries have made multiple visits to Kabul and Tashkent.
