KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture said on Tuesday the Art Department of the ministry in cooperation with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) launched the Innovative Youth Art Exhibition here in Kabul, displaying 200 artworks.
According to the statement, the exhibition was attended by Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, the Art and Culture Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, UNAMA Chief of Human Rights Fiona Frazer, Brendan Cassar, and Head of the United Nations Cultural Organization (UNESCO), writers, artists, and art lovers.
Speaking in the ceremony, Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, emphasized that beautiful arts not only represent individual creativity but also play a vital role in preserving and promoting social and cultural values.
Fiona Frazer, the head of Human Rights at UNAMA, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Information and Culture and pledged continued support for progress in Afghanistan.
