India and Afghanistan have long-standing relations for centuries

KABUL: India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish, stated yesterday that India closely monitors the situation in Afghanistan and has engaged in discussions with the Islamic Emirate on various bilateral issues.

Harish emphasized that India and Afghanistan have maintained long-standing relations for centuries, with shared commonalities between the two nations.

He also pointed to the previous meetings between Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and India’s External Affairs Minister, Vikram Misri, during the UN session in Abu Dhabi.
