KABUL: The Deputy Publication Minister for Information and Culture Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi, on the occasion of the \u201cWorld Radio Day\u201d in a voice message said on Tuesday, that about 280 radio stations are operating in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRadio, as a mass communication tool, plays a valuable role in positively changing public attitudes and improving the educational and intellectual level of young people,\u201d said the deputy publication minister of information and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Islamic Emirate supports the country’s media, including radio stations, said Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer Farahi expressing hope that radio workers should fulfill their responsibilities towards their society, people, and country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, officials of Radio Neshat in Farah province stated that they have resumed broadcasting on the occasion of World Radio Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Director of Radio Neshat Wahid Sokout said: \u201cDue to financial problems this media outlet had remained inactive for about 8 months\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Radio listeners in Afghanistan, especially in remote areas, consider radio as one of the most accessible media for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
