KABUL: Officials from SOCAR, Azerbaijan\u2019s state oil company, have pledged to increase exports of high-quality petroleum products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They made the remarks during a meeting with an Afghan delegation led by Mullah Faizullah Tamim General Director of the Afghanistan Standard and Quality in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to officials, the Afghan delegation’s visit is to facilitate the import of quality fuel and other commercial goods into Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both sides emphasized expanding cooperation in supplying refined petroleum products, with SOCAR reaffirming its role as a major producer and supplier in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the trip, the Afghan delegation toured various SOCAR facilities, including oil refineries and a chemical fertilizer plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials noted that fuel imports from Azerbaijan to Afghanistan began two years ago, with around 80,000 tons imported last year alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afghanistan\u2019s Standards and Quality Authority reiterated its commitment to ensuring the import of high-quality goods while preventing low-quality products from entering domestic markets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
