KABUL: Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, during a recent phone call with Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan said Tehran will not engage in \u201cimposed negotiations\u201d under pressure, threats, or blockade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Iran\u2019s presidential office, Pezeshkian stressed that rebuilding trust between Tehran and the United States would not be possible unless \u201chostile actions\u201d are halted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs long as operational pressures and hostile measures by the United States continue, progress toward dialogue will face serious obstacles,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two leaders discussed the latest political and security developments, the status of the ceasefire, and ongoing diplomatic initiatives being pursued in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pezeshkian emphasized that for negotiations with Washington to move forward, the U.S. must first remove key obstacles, including the naval blockade on Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharif, in turn, assured that Islamabad would use all available means to facilitate dialogue and help achieve a \u201cdignified and sustainable\u201d outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
