KABUL: A French investor and his accompanying delegation in a meeting with the Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, said they are seeking to invest in Afghanistan’s emerald mines and establishing laboratories, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
In the meeting, the French investor expressed pleasure over countrywide security and asked for investment in the emerald mines and establishing laboratories, according to the statement.
Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, welcomed them and said that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum is ready for any cooperation in this sector.
With passing each day, the interest of foreign investors increases in investing in Afghanistan’s mines.
Officials of China’s CDC company said on Saturday in a meeting with the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum that they are investing in Afghanistan’s copper, lead and zinc mines.
