Ministry of Finance: Afghan exports reaches 122 billion Afghani in ten months

KABUL: In the first ten months of the current 1402 solar year Afghanistan has exported goods worth 122 billion Afghanis to other countries, the ministry of finance said in a statement the other day.

Transparency in the country’s customhouses and the provision of facilities to traders are the reasons behind the growth in the level of exports, said the ministry.

“Fruits worth 43 billion Afghanis, cotton worth 16 billion Afghanis and vegetables worth 17 billion Afghanis have been exported,” said the statement.

According to the source, most of the goods have been exported to Pakistan, India, and United Arab Emirate.

The ministry’s officials said that they are always making efforts to create facilities at the transit gates and increase the level of exports.

Meanwhile, spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in an interview with Omid Radio stated that Afghan goods are currently being exported to 100 countries.
