KABUL: The Acting Minister of National Defense Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid provided a banquet for representatives and ambassadors of dozens of neighboring and regional countries, the ministry said in a statement the other day.
Following yesterday’s meeting of “Afghanistan’s Regional Cooperation Initiative” in Kabul, the special representatives and ambassadors from India, China, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan attended the defense minister’s banquet, said the statement.
Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of National Defense Mawlavi Yahqoob Mujahid held separate meetings with the representatives of China, Iran, and Pakistan.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Yahqoob spoke about the country’s stability, border security, mutual respect and economic transactions with neighboring countries.
He assured that the IEA is ready for any kind of cooperation, including providing security, for beginning and completing of the projects.
