Herat: The construction work of 50 residential units has been completed and distributed to the quake-affected families of Herat province, officials confirmed.
Spokesman of the Herat Earthquake Victims Commission Mawlavi Ahmadullah Mottaqi says, that the newly built houses were distributed to the victims of the earthquake yesterday (Tuesday, 30 January).
“These houses, along with two mosques have been built properly in “Naib Rafi” area of Zinda Jan district,” Muttaqi said.
According to him, standardized toilets and drinking water wells are among other facilities that have been considered in the mentioned village.
“Currently, work is underway on 4,000 residential houses for earthquake-affected families in the province,” he further added.
Earlier, a township consisting of 200 units, with the assistance of Azizi Foundation, was inaugurated and handed over to the earthquake-affected families.
