KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in separate statements said yesterday that cash and foodstuff were distributed to over 9 thousand families in 8 provinces of the country.
The aids were distributed to the destitute families of Kabul, Paktika, Paktia, Jawzjan, Zabul, Khost, Logar and Parwan provinces.
“The assistance has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and the DACAAR organization to needy families,” said the statement.
The aids were distributed with the cooperation of the provincial directorates of the ministry, according to the statement.
Needy families have warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude over receiving humanitarian aids.
Yesterday, humanitarian aids were distributed by relief organizations to more than 13,000 destitute families in several provinces of the country.
