KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs has established a special unite for the prevention of any harm and protection of the country’s forests, spokesman of the ministry of Interior Affairs Abdul Mateen Qaneh wrote on his official twitter handle yesterday.
He added, those who are responsible for tree-cutting in forests and the destruction of the country’s natural resources will be arrested.
“The destroyers of Afghanistan’s natural resources will be punished,” Qaneh further said.
The Ministry of Interior has announced the creation of a special unit to protect the country’s forests, as it was reported last year that some forests in the mountains of the country’s eastern Nuristan province caught fire.
