KABUL: Humanitarian aids including cash and foodstuff have been distributed to over 23,000 families in seven provinces of the country, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements on Monday.
According to the statement, 4,314 families in Faryab, 1,690 families in Kapisa, 1,672 families in Laghman, and 6,702 families in Jawzjan received cash assistance.
Meanwhile, 7,236 families in Paktia, 710 families in Bamyan and 800 families in Kandahar province received foodstuffs.
The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development added that humanitarian aids has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families in collaboration with the provincial directorates of the ministry.
Apparently, due to the recent rainfalls, most of the aid has been distributed as cash to the destitute families.
The process of distributing humanitarian aid to needy families continues in the country on a daily basis.
